The skincare routine that has saved my skin

For the under the skin nasty pimples - I will stand by my suggestion that the only thing good for getting rid of these is a clean diet. This doesn’t even have to be a forever thing - I went full detox for two weeks, then slowly reintroduced eating foods I loved that were not so healthy, like sugar, bread, crisps etc. I just now eat in moderation, and try to find healthy alternatives when I can. Except when I am on holiday, like now - I am eating everything there is to eat lol - and actually my stomach is punishing me for this (soz if TMI). But if your diet is on point 90% of the time on a normal day-to-day basis with the occasional indulgent holiday, you should be fine nasty cystic spot wise.

But after this, you are left with redness, scars, congestion, bumpy skin and the list goes on. Once you are rid of the acne, you are left with the chaos it leaves behind on your skin. And this, is where I really believe skincare comes into play.

For the past 6 weeks now I have been using products from Banish Acne Scars. I got their Scar Banishing Starter Kit. Honestly the best thing I have invested in!

If you suffer from acne, or have suffered, you will know the feeling of your face just feeling constantly dirty and rough. The products in the Banish Kit really help with this. I am going to run through each product, how I use it and what it does for my skin.

January VS Today

January VS Today

So, to start with, I actually use a foaming cleanser from Medik8 - once in the morning and twice in the evening.

Morning:

  • after cleansing, I will use the Banish Acne Scars Vitamin C Serum, topped with a small amount of their Vitamin C Creme.

  • After this I will apply my Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. This is a game changer, it’s light, tinted and moisturising, WITH factor 30, what else do you need.

Thats it for the morning, fairly simple.

Evening:

  • In the evening, I will take off my makeup with micellar water. Please stay away from makeup wipes they are the devil - they basically just push the dirt into your skin and only get rid of what is on the surface.

  • I will then use my foaming cleanser twice

  • Then I will apply my Banish Vit C Serum

Voila - that is my daily evening routine.

Twice a week:

Twice a week I will apply my Banish face masks, and I truly believe these are a huge factor to the transformation of my skin’s texture. It just feels so amazing after using a combination of these masks. I will usually use the masks in the evening before bed, so nothing else really goes on my face after putting them on. I start with the Charcoal Mask, this gets out any impurities and loosens the pores. I leave this on for ten minutes. Once I wash this off, I apply the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (v festive at the moment because it’s nearly Halloween hehe). This is an all natural gentle exfoliant which is amazing for people who have sensitive skin (aka me) and it smells out of this world tbh. I leave this one on for about 20-30 minutes and my skin just feels sooo soft and clean after.

I will then just put on some Vit C Serum and nothing else.

So there you have it, my skincare routine is actually very simple and it really works for me. If you struggle with congested skin, texture and/or scarring, I hugely recommend Banish, their products are amazing! I wouldn’t promote something I did not truly believe is making a difference. I cant believe how far my skin has come, and I am so excited for the continuous improvement!

So there you have it, hope you enjoyed my lil skincare routine tips and let me know if you get any Banish products! Would love to know your thoughts. If you do purchase, use my code TASH - I think you get $$ off :)

Thanks so much for reading and see you in my next post :) I will be posting all about my trip to Sydney, that will be up on Sunday xxxx
